Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw.
The bottom two teams in each league will be automatically relegated to the lower division (if one exists).
The third from bottom team will have a one match play off against the team that finishes third from top of the lower league.
If two or more teams finish level on points the team with the better goal difference will finish higher.
If two or more teams have the same points and the same goal difference, the team which has scored the higher number of goals will finish higher.
If two or more teams finish level on points, goal difference and goals scored, and the championship, a relegation place, promotion place, or play off place is at stake, they will then play another game to decide who finishes higher.
Each team in U9 Championship Round 1 will play each other once between Match Day 1 (Sunday 25th January) and Match Day 5 (Sunday 5th April)
Teams will also play 1 friendly fixture during Round 1 also
After Round 1, the league will split into two parts based on league position: Cup (1st – 5th) and Plate (6th – 10th)
Round 2 takes place between Match Day 6 (Sunday 19th April) and Match Day 8 (Sunday 17th May)
During Round 2, each team will play four matches in either the Cup or Plate competition
The points from Round 1 will still be relevant and continue into Round 2
There will be medals and trophies for the Cup and Plate winners and runners up
