ESPZEN SS Black 's Match Report

This is a fixture is always a game which will promote the best talent in Singapore Jnuior football. Previously when the teams meet, they have drawn twice 1 -1 and also 2 - 2 so todays game was set to be a classic and this is eaxactly wht happened.

The game started fast with F17 showing their class in the early stages, the ESPZEN team did not know what hit them when F17 put pressure on the ball and forced ESPZEN to make mistakes when in possession of the ball. F17 are deadly and have the players to punish for such mistakes and did so racing into a two goal lead. This become a challenege for the ESPZEN U8 team who have not been put on the back foot like this before.

ESPZEN took aorund 10 minutes for the game to settle down and gain the confidence to play and get on the ball. The team lacked confidence in defense and also attack. It was Yuki who were first to step up to the task and put some tackles in that were dominant and led to fast ESPZEN attacks, this built confidence and likes of Nathan Mao and Oscar Muford started to creep into the game. At the water break, the coach encouraged them to stay focused and look to pass the ball, play there own game but most imporantly move the ball much quicker and work as a team.

The team flew out of the blocks showing good passing and looked to create opportunities to score. The chances come and they managed to sneak back into the game. Nathan Mao clever passing and Yuki and Archie's work rate caused numerous problems and it looked to settle the game in ESPZEN favour who created chance after chance but with little sucess.

F17 are a brilliant team and constantly reminded ESPZEN how good they are with fast sweeping counter attacks which Skye Singalton was on hand to settle the game down for ESPZEN with some great saves.

Overall fare result for both team but a fantastic advery for Singapore soccer and also the talent with in the two team.

Man of the match - Nathan Mao - for his clever vision and team work to keep the ball
