Sporting Lisbon 's Match Report

ESPZEN U14 's Match Report

It was another tough day for ESPZEN against a strong Sporting team. ESPZEN defended quite well in the first half & created a few chances themselves, having one shot cleared off the line & almost scoring another at the back post. Unfortunately we made an individual error & conceedeed a strike from distance & weren't able to take any of our own chances.

The second half wasn't as good after conceeding a goal the boys heads dropped which meant the centre midfielders were both getting sucked into the wide areas which gave them an extra man in the box. The wide players work tirelessly which made it difficult for us to play on the counter attack as it was hard for them to get up the pitch. We need to hold the ball up better as we did this once & created a chance behind. We also need to react to triggers to press high which is difficult when you're tired & playing against a good team. Lots to work on which we discussed at full time. Well done to Sporting who were the better team with some players with very good individual quality.

It was Felix's last game who we will miss at the back, reading the game & communication. Good luck, Felix!

Jonan man of match.
