Euro Juniors 's Match Report

1st half was a better game.. creative ideas - create 2 early goals..

2nd half was not that good , players lose balls easily create pressure to the defence side

MOTM is Aniq ,  as he guard the mid well and guide the defence repeatedly...

ESPZEN SS Black 's Match Report

ESPZEN made a slow start to the game giving Euro Juniors a two goal head start inside the opening minutes. A combination of diving in, committing themselves in 1v1 situations & switching off (not switching their attention between key information) led to the slow start. ESPZEN regained their composure and their shape was much better, limiting spaces in forward areas for the Euro Juniors number 7 to play forward into. ESPZEN created a few chances but nothing clear cut in the first half.

After a good chat at half time, ESPZEN played much better in the second. The goal conceded was a harshly awarded free kick which was well finished from the edge of the area. ESPZEN had the better chances in the second half, missing two great chances right in front of the goal. Ryan was able to score a great goal, with a strike from distance after good work from Lou. ESPZEN were awarded a penalty after the Euro Juniors keeper was down injured and instead of throwing the ball out of play, threw it back in and his team mate picked it up. The referee had no option but to award the penalty as the ball was still in play but ESPZEN sportingly passed the ball back to him instead of trying to score.

A disappointing day for ESPZEN in a game we should have done much better, by making it more difficult for the opponent to score and taking the great chances we had, which would have made it a much different game. The process of how we play is the most important but that has to be coupled with the desire to learn from mistakes and having the mentality to defend and stop the opponent scoring at all costs. Preparation for games, individual defending and increasing our awareness defensively will be the key areas of focus moving forward. We will learn from this and be stronger in the next game. Let’s keep moving forward!
