ESPZEN SS White 's Match Report
Last game of the day was against FC Jets who beat us 5-1 the last time. The most exciting game so far. Probably the best match of the League. Action was to & fro with both teams playing attacking football. We went a goal down when they intercept our throw to the back & scoring the 1st goal. The match started to get even more exciting with us trying to get the equaliser & our opponents keeping us at bay. Finally got the equaliser in the 12th min with Jake getting the ball & scoring a beautiful goal. What a game!! Our keeper Zayan twisted his ankle & had to be replaced by William. Now we don’t have any reserves. More scoring opportunities with both teams coming close. Only last second tackles, blocks & saves kept the score at 1-1. And we struck in the last min thru Tiger taking his chance & making it count. Thought for sure that we won the game but there was a final twist. A final attack by our opponents making the score 2-2. Probably a fair result given the fact that both teams played some great football. MOM has to be Julius who despite being tired gave his all, doing such a wonderful job in defense. Credit to our opponents for giving us a good match.
FC Jets 's Match Report
ESPZEN SS White was a totally different team. It looked like an upgraded version 2.0 football machines with strong forwards who were capable of shooting strong accurate shots from afar. FC Jets was facing the top team in the league to date. It continued its excellent run by drawing ï¬rst blood again with an excellent goal by Aan (10) after a beautiful assist by Kazu (9) in the 6th minute. However, ESPZEN SS WHITE replied in the 11th minute to level up. FC Jets then bombarded their opponent’s goal with excellent opportunities by its forwards. However, Lady Luck seemed to have left us when its forwards could not turn golden opportunities into goals. Each team taking turns to bombard each other’s goalmouths, with Krish running tirelessly up and down the ï¬eld, playing the duo roles of attacker and defender, keeping the score line even. It looked like both team was settling for a draw as the clock ran down when FC Jets had a lapse of concentration and starting making mistakes. It started with its forward losing the ball and eventually the ball was in front of FC Jet’s goal. A goalmouth melee ensued and ESPZEN SS WHITE’s forward grabbed a precious opportunity to slot in a goal in the 21st minute. We thought it was game over for FC Jets, licking its wounds and blaming all the missed opportunities. However, the goal seemed to have injected energy into FC Jets and awakened the titan in them. The tireless Krish was the saviour and did a beautiful dazzling run before selflessly passing it to Dylan (4) to slot home the equaliser in the last minute to end the game deservingly at 2-2. I guess it is never too late til’ the referee blew the ï¬nal whistle.
