YG2k 's Match Report

After 2 hard fought victory against ESA and Football Plus, the boys physically drained but in high spirit and morale to claim their third win in succession in Matchday 4.
Coach started with the same lineup with Izzy, Aniq in defence. Naufal operating in the middle supporting Mohamed and Rindra / Cristos playing down both flanks.

Sparks started very brightly and nearly scored from a opportunity at kick off.
Their striker dribbled his way past the defense and was ready to put to the trigger.
Izzy and Aniq recovered and put their bodies to block the shot. The ball ended up at another on-rushing Sparks player and Naufal made a great tackle to finally clear the ball.

The early scare seemed to wake up the players.
They started to settle down and establish their attacking movements.
Cristos and Rindra were dangerous and created numerous chance. Mohamed had a few shots that tested the keeper but their keeper did well.

It was Rindra that made the breakthrough. He danced with the ball past 2 defenders and spotted Mohamed in the right.
With a feint to the left, he lured the last man and laid the ball perfectly for Mohamed to apply the final touch.

YG2K’s boys continued to attack but Sparks’ defence was very well organised.

Sparks did also try to mount a fightback.
They had a few half chance that Travis dealt with. Izzy, Ranen and Aniq did very well to contain their attackers well.
A wicked floating high ball required Travis to tip over the bar  the closing minutes but the boys held on.

A very good game day for YG2K, seeing them played very well winning 3 games , getting the maximum of 9 points and keeping 3 clean sheets.

Sparks FC 's Match Report

Buoyed by the good win in the previous game, the boys went into the final game of the game brimming with confidence. They were well aware of the daunting task ahead of them: they were facing a very in-form opponent who were on a 5-game winning streak. However, the boys seemed to disregard the form book as right from kick off, our striker had the audacity to dribble past the opponent's defense and almost managed to score, if it weren't for a brilliant block by their brave defenders. The rebound fell to our midfielder, who also almost scored himself but was undone by a fine tackle in the end. The boys' audacious moves at the start seemed to have stirred the hornets' nest, as our opponents began to impose themselves in the game and initiated several dangerous attacking moves. Our defense stood tall in face of their attacks, with our goalkeeper in top form, making several saves to thwart their efforts. It took a brillinat individual play by our opponents to finally breach the defense and take the lead. Despite going one goal down, the boys did not give up and tried their best to search for an equalizer with a few chances while the defense continued their good form and kept the scoreline down. The game eventually ended 1-0 in favor of our opponents, but it was nonetheless a classic game of attack vs defense.
