F17 Black 's Match Report
We didn't start well in this match and paid the price by conceding fairly early on. Undeterred, we got back up and tried to get back on the front foot, perhaps trying a little too hard at times. Inevitably, we got caught out when we failed to transition quickly enough and our opponents doubled their lead. The boys tried hard, but we couldn't find our rhythm and ultimately carelessly conceded a third. This was certainly not one of our better games, but it gave us plenty to think about and learn from ahead of the upcoming fixtures. Well-played ESPZEN Black. Congratulations on the win!
ESPZEN SS Black 's Match Report
The second game of the day was a very scrappy affair in the rain against F-17. Again the team defended well but struggled when they had the ball. Nathan Mao did manage to produce a moment of quality to play a pass through for Nils Vandersmissen who finished well to give the team the lead. Nils then doubled gthe team's lead after some good play from Jan Tze Soong. The game continued to be scrappy with few chances for either side, but the U10 blacks kept their shape fairly well and restricted the other team's chances. Izak Williams then wrapped up the win with a close range finish late on in the game
