ESPZEN SS Black 's Match Report
ESPZEN Black didn't have the best of starts to the game, giving the ball away a number of times playing from the back which was inviting pressure from Barca Academy. Barca Academy rattled the ESPZEN Black cross bar with a great strike. This was a wake up call as the momentum began to change as ESPZEN pressed high forcing a mistake with Sanat recovering the ball and cutting it back from wide for Ryan Iadera Taylor to finish. This spurred the team on with the second goal coming soon after with Ryan Iadera Taylor pressing a high bouncing ball and being able to gain possession and finish well. Barca had an opportunity with their left central defender driving out with the ball and managing to dribble past a number of players before dragging his shot wide. Towards the end of the half, Ethan Wong drove through and got a shot away which Kaelen was able to finish the rebound to secure a 3-0 lead going into the break.
ESPZEN Black made a strong start to the second half scoring a great team goal. The ball was played from the right centre back, into centre midfield, where it was recycled to the middle centre back, who played to the left hand side with the ball being crossed into the box for Ethan Wong to finish. Max forced Barca Academy's keeper into a great save who struck from the right side of the box. The pressure paid off as Alex played a lovely ball through for Ethan Wong who was able to spin behind and finish. ESPZEN Black pressed high once again, regaining possession and Alex forced a good save from Barca Academy's keeper. Barca Academy played a great ball behind but Ethan Yim was able to come out and force the attacker away from goal. Ryan Iadera got on the ball deep and had a strike from distance which Max cleverly flicked towards goal to register his first goal of the season. Ethan Wong was able to register his hat trick with the ball rebounding off the post which Ethan managed to finish well. The final goal of the game was a grear individual effort from Alex who drove from midfield to finish well in the box. It was an easy game to referee with the game being played in good spirits. Well done to both teams.
