Saturday Strikers 's Match Report

Great day of sport in a very warm Sunday afternoon ! The two opponent team put a very intense 40 min of soccer with a strong intensity a good skills. Match was very balanced with many occasions on both sides despite the final score. Fair play for both teams has been very good (no cards or harsh fouls to mention).

F17 Gold 's Match Report

We started the day against league debutants Saturday Kickers in a game which started brightly, as both sides worked hard to seize the initiative.

It was even-stevens in the opening exchanges, until our opponents broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal halfway through the first-half. Undeterred, the boys dusted themselves off and got back to playing football.

We worked hard at getting the ball into promising positions to create opportunities, every player putting his best feet forward for the team. But, alas, our opponents responded with good football of their own.

Second-half saw Musa going in goal and rotation of positions as we tried new angles, lines and options to change the game. We created some good opportunities, but were thwarted by good defending.

This was a REALLY engaging contest between two sets of inspired players committed to doing their best in a good old-fashioned football match, played in the right spirit of the game. Great effort from both sets of players.

Congratulations to Saturday Kickers on their maiden victory in the league!
